Hello Hello, Lol so much happened and yet nothing.  So this week started with a love poem! Our guy we were teaching sent it to us and we were like there are boy missionaries over young single adults that you should meet with. So we will see.  Also I helped build a house! Well we volunteered at Habit for Humanity! So fun! We talked to this guy who is going into documentary film making- it sounds so fun!  I started talking to this person on FaceBook about being an author and they are making it sound like a dream! So now I am like should I be an author or a documentary film maker! Just kidding I would fail at both. Also today was Zone p-day! We went bowling! So fun I love my zone so much!! Exchanges this week! We switch companions for a day to learn and stuff. We have the best leaders ever!!! I visited that area a few months ago on exchanges and had a lesson with a man that I met last time.  He said, "Oh look powder sugar is back!" Look for the little things i...

This week we went to an Amish community! It was so wild! We met up with this lady I found on FaceBook and she knows a lot about the Amish! So we went with her and her daughter to this Amish community. We went to the store and looked a little around while she told us about them. We gave her a BOM (Book of Mormon) at the end so we will see what happens! But it was so fun and I respect the Amish so much! There was a couple days, right after transfers, last week where it seemed like everything just fell apart and it seemed to be my fault.  On top of that some of my amazing friends that I got to serve with got transferred so my support system got all changed around. So coming into this week I really focused on turning to the Lord. I really focused on have confidence in the Lord and having an eternal prospective. Looking beyond right now and looking forward to the future. I know everything in the future will not be perfect but I can see the blessings I will receive be...

Happy 2021! New goals are always so important! We should always be making and adjusting our goals.  I love what our mission president always says that "high goals doesn't mean high faith." You should have realistic goals that stretch you. Its "Be ye therefore perfect.... eventually!"  I love this because we are not expected to be perfect right now, its little by little. That is why my goal for 2021 (and the rest of my life) is to become more Christlike. Choose an attribute that you want to have and work on it. Read about it, look for it in others, pray for it, and try to become more like our Savior Jesus Christ.  Not much happened this week This week was transfers. I got a new comp (Sister Gunnell). She's cool, has been an STL (in leadership) until now.  She goes home, to Utah, in May so she still has awhile, but is getting there. She is super nice, but always a little adjusting to a new person and everything. She loves this work and really wa...

Hello Hello, ALMOST MERRY CHRISTMAS! Look for the Video link with pictures! This week! The biggest thing was that we went again to this amazing families home! They live wayyyy out there in our area, but they are worth it! The first time we meet with them the dad barely looked at us at the beginning, by the end he said bye! This time he was so interactive!!! The Bible is so good, and sometimes I forget how amazing!  I am sure lots of other things happened this week... but that's about it. I love my comp, my district, my zone, and my mission so all is good!!  I won't lie it can be hard and sometimes lonely, but I am learning and growing and so grateful for the opportunity to serve the people here. A wonderful scripture!  D&C 11: 19-20   "Yea, cleave unto me with all your heart, that you may assist  in bringing to light those things of which has been spoken - yea, the translation of my work; be patient until you shall accomplish it.  Behold, t...

Hello hello,   This week has been AMAZING!! We had a mission tour basically a general authority came (virtual) to our mission and it was so good! We got to hear and talk to him and his wondering wife an hour or two every day for a few days! I learned so much especially about our purpose as missionaries which is the same purpose that Jesus Christ had in this life! To bring people eternal life, eternal joy, and eternal happiness! It was so good and so many things that I can improve on!  This week I was on exchanges -basically we switch comps for a day with STLs (sister training leaders) to help us, answer questions, make sure we are doing things good, stuff like that. It was so fun!!  We meet with 2 amazing family's! They are part member returning families. One of them we started to do a Bible study!!!! The dad was anti for awhile and has come around to having us do a Bible study as long as we keep it to that! At the beginning he wouldn't really look at ...

Hello hello,  My wonderful companion always greets people by saying Hello, Hello - it's so cheerful and cute! I am feeling better after dealing with COVID.  It was a bit rough, and I am glad that myself and all the other missionaries are all feeling better. This week was kinda hard but the Lord really helped us get through it! He blesses us with Heavenly Angels all the time.  Also the Christmas devotional, which can be found on ChurchofJesusChrist.org, is so amazing! My favorite part was Heavenly hugs! It's so cute, we can get these hugs and sometimes we don't know where they are coming from. But they come from your Father in Heaven! He loves YOU and wants YOU to be happy!  We also had women's conference so we got to see all the other sisters in the mission!        1- gratitude pumpkins  2- my comp and I with our Christmas sweaters (don't worry no one saw us except other missionaries)  5- me and other historic site sisters at...

This week has been a week of miracles! We scheduled more lessons this week than maybe all of this before time put together! The past couple of days we have 8 lessons scheduled!!!!! Only 1 happened, with a member, but hey that is what Jesus Christ did! He left the 99 to find the 1!  Another miracle! One of the sweet members ordered us Dominos! Pizza is amazing! Also the STL's (Sister Training Leaders) brought us a couple of things! So much love from all the people!!  In case you are wondering why others are bringing us such, my whole district is currently quarantined. Most of us tested positive for COVID, but all of us are doing good and the Lord is blessings us all the time! I am quite tired and have most of the symptoms of COVID, but I'm doing OK. Sick or not Pizza and carmel apples are Amazing! I also tried Carmel apples for the first time, so that was fun!   President Nelson's message here is so amazing https://youtu.be/i51gcWCs-Ho

Hello, So an amazing thing happened today! We went to a gas station to get me a soda and a soft pretzel. We went to pay and the sweet cashier lady payed for it! We were shocked and was like thank you! We were confused because we tried looking her up and didn't find her, so maybe we have to go back to the gas station!  Also fun thing- the elders we are in a ward share have Covid and the sisters in our district too... and transfers are tomorrow and we were supposed to loose the other sisters and be in an all elders district except for us. But it's all good. Tender mercy's are everywhere! The Lord sends people in our lives at a specific time and reason! I total believe this! So many times this week it has been made evident! So many stories to share but so little time!  Message of all of this email!!!  You have people that love and care about you! God is our loving Heavenly Father! He loves you more than you know!!! Things happen for a reason and sometimes...

This week...  We got rejected in all shape ways and forms.... but it's ok because the Lord is on our side! Things have been pretty good, we did lots of Facebook finding, (did you know that their are wild turtles here in Missouri?)  Also I learned I love abandoned looking pictures so that's fun!  We had a couple member lessons and service projects, which is always a good time! One family (the Fosters) are the cutest family!! They have 5 kids under the age of 11! We did a lesson with them and they are so cute! Also the Jenkins are the best family, the parents basically made our facebook post about simple truths. All of our members are so amazing and help us in so many ways! Exchanges! I did my first exchange ( I went to another area for the day and had a different companion for the day) this day happened to be on Halloween so I sadly didn't get to go to our ward Halloween party... but it's all good. It was fun and we had a good time.    Picture...

Hello everyone,  Look for the link to a super cute video with the picture at the end of this post This week had its ups and down. One day we went to so many homes and no one was home. That day our only person we were teaching texting says that he does not want to meet with us anymore... so fun. I guess this makes me a real missionary now!  Also today is the first snow of the season!   This week had some hard times but there are Angels on this side of the veil! My comp being one of them! The elders we ward share with are literally the best people on the planet and know exactly what to say when I needed it. So glad their car had a flat...haha inside joke of myself.  People are so important! There was one sister who told me things I needed to hear in Palmyra and her words have stuck out to me so many times! Also my Bishop back home has told me important things that has helped me just when I needed them and been such a wonderful example in my life. Of cou...

Hello all sorry super quick,  MIRACLES ARE REAL!!! One day this week my comp and I were outside of our apartment waiting for a friend. While we were waiting for our friend this couple came up to us and one of them is an inactive member or a coming back member and the other is her bf. They came up and like Sisters! She was like this is my bf and we talked about the church. He wants to be baptized!!! But first he has to take the missionary discussions before to learn about it. Awww!!!!! He knows like nothing but we gave him the first lesson! It went pretty good!  I gave my first baptism invite!! It was a soft one without a date but he said YES!!! She said they have to figure out some things before he can be baptized but AWWW!!! Also so cool! All the people here love God which is always good! It would be better if they actually did their commitments...or respond to us...but it's fine. It's good. I actually love it so much! And LOVE MY COMP!!! Fun things always be happening and ha...

(All of these sisters where at the historic sites with me and are amazing)!! Also random thing- being at the historic sites we had our own church and sacrament and stuff. So... Sept. 22 - Sept. 28

September 22, 2020   Do you remember the 21st night in September  The night of September 21 1823, is the anniversary of Angel Moroni's visitation to the 17 year old Joseph Smith! Angel Moroni is the keeper of the golden plates (the ancient record the makes the BOM). He is the one who hid it thousands of years ago and he is the one who appeared to Joseph to tell him of this amazing record!! That night the messager from Heavenly Father showed Joseph a vision of a near by hill (the Hill Cumorah) that had these ancient record in it. Joseph went up to that hill the next day (September 22). He went year after year, on the same day, and was mentored by Angel Moroni. He did this until he was ready to be responsible for these sacred ancient records, in the year 1827, months after marrying his wife Emma. This is just the beginning story of how we got the Book of Mormon on Earth today, published in about 112 languages!  Yes we celebrated this amazing anniversary! We had a little Spi...

July 16, 2020  Hello, I had the wonderful opportunity of going to the Priesthood Restoration Site down in Pennsylvania (PRS)! Its beautiful and amazing! My favorite part is the love story between Emma and Joseph and everything they had to go through as a couple. So amazing!!!! Everyone should go there some day but for now you can get a virtual tour from those amazing sisters over there. The Sacred Grove/Smith Farm is open to the general public now! The link to sign up is on the facebook page Worldwide Unite! That is where you can schedule a tour at PRS as well. We can get bored a lot here but thankfully at Hill Cumorah we have a movie theater that has some church movies and other church messages predownload on there. My favorite is Legacy! If you have not watched it go on YouTube and watch it! Its literally so amazing and it's the unofficial movie of the NY Historic Sites Mission- I have watched it more times I can count! It's an amazing movie that helps me understand some of t...
