Happy 2021!
New
goals are always so important! We should always be making and adjusting
our goals. I love what our mission president always says that "high
goals doesn't mean high faith." You should have realistic goals that
stretch you. Its "Be ye therefore perfect.... eventually!" I love this
because we are not expected to be perfect right now, its little by
little. That is why my goal for 2021 (and the rest of my life) is to
become more Christlike. Choose an attribute that you want to have and
work on it. Read about it, look for it in others, pray for it, and try
to become more like our Savior Jesus Christ.
Not much happened this week
Not much happened this week
This
week was transfers. I got a new comp (Sister Gunnell). She's cool, has
been an STL (in leadership) until now. She goes home, to Utah, in May so
she still has awhile, but is getting there. She is super nice, but
always a little adjusting to a new person and everything. She loves this
work and really wants to follow the rules which is amazing. I feel kinda
bad, this week I feel like I dumped so much info about people in this area on her.
Lol but she is getting it so quick!
Proverbs 3:26-
"For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken."
This
is so powerful! This is talking about how even if you don't have
confidence in yourself, someone else, or a situation- it's ok because
you can have confidence in the Lord! He is there for you. That is if you
believe it or not, He is there for you. If you don't believe me, pray and
you can feel His love, present, and compassion for YOU.
He
also has confidence in you. If you believe in Him and are trying your
best, nothing is impossible. Trust in Him with all of your heart, might,
mind, and strength! It doesn't mean you will not have hard times, it
means you have someone to go through those hard times with. That is the
biggest thing you could ever hope for.
Love you,
Sister Abbott
